Two Malaysian couples marry in Trang

TWO Malaysian couples decided to tie the knot at the Trang Underwater Wedding on Valentine's Day this year. They joined another 29 couples who chose Valentine's Day to get married or re-exchange their marriage vows amid the romantic settings in Trang Province. The two-day wedding ceremony was full of pomp and pageantry as the Trang Provincial Authority, the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Thumrin Thana Hotel pulled out all stops to make it an international-class event and the only one of its kind in the world.

The wedding couples were first taken to the Peninsular Botanic Gardens where they took part in a tree-planting ceremony in commemoration
of their wedding.

In the evening, they took part in a wedding ceremony before taking part in a parade to ther Trang Railway Station. The following day the couples visited the Emerald Cave by boat before attending the gala dinner at the Rajamongkol Beach.

The following day they took a trip to Tham Le Khao Krop for an unforgettable boating experience through the narrow and low roof part of the cave. From Trang, the couple later had a short honeymoon in Krabi and visited places like the Waree Raksa Spa, going canoeing in Bor Tor and visiting the Koh Klang Muslim Village to try their hands at rice harvesting, batik-making and to see how fishes are reared in enclosures. In the evening, they join another 10 Thai couples for a romantic candlelight dinner on the beach.
