Kek River Rafting Festival (Phitsanulok)

Rafting through 18 rapids with the distance of 8 kilometers. It takes around 2-3 hours depending on the water level. The difficulty is from level 1 to level 5. |

Venue: Chong Phara Procession (Poi Lern Sip Et Tradition) "It is the tradition of Thai Yai at the end of Buddhist lent. The villagers will build Chong Phara (a castle made of wood, covered with colourful perforated papers and decorated with fruits, flags and lamps) and decorate it at the house to welcome the Buddha who come back from the daowadeung heaven to the earth. |

Phuket Vegetarian Festival (2nd) (Phuket)

Phuket's Vegetarian festival (or jia chai in local Hokkien Chinese dialect) began in 1825,when the governor of Thalang, Praya Jerm, moved the island's principal town from Ta Reua in Thalang District to Get-Hoe in Kathu District, where were tin mines and Chinese miners. Kathu was then still covered by jungle and fever was rife. It happened that a traveling opera company (called ngiu in Thai or pua-hee in Hokkien dialect) came from China to perform for the miners. |

Amari Watergate Hotel, Bangkok What/Why :It is the only race in Bangkok to be held at Midnight, and offers competitors a choice of 2 distances – 6km or 12km. The city streets will be closed and protected by a police and security contingent of about 400 officers, and supported along the route by local residents, and shop owners, together with the management and staff of the Amari Watergate Hotel Bangkok. |
