As some of you may already know, we have just celebrated the Thai New Year in mid-April. Many thanks go out to the Malaysians who flocked to Hat Yai to help us celebrate the water festival or mid-night Songkran. It was indeed a happy and memorable occasion seeing that the Thai New Year was a working day in Malaysia.
Travel agents and journalists on an educational trip to the Songkran Festival in Bangkok were also introduced to the nine wonders of Wat Pho. Known as the Temple of Reclining Buddha, it is one of the oldest and largest temples in Bangkok, it was a centre of medical science and Thai traditional massage. Those visiting Bangkok for the first time should not miss the chance to pay a visit to Wat Pho, which is home to the most Buddha images in Bangkok as well as sheltering the biggest Buddha image in Thailand.
