41ST CHIANG MAI FLOWER FESTIVAL 2017

Venue: Suan Buak Hat Park, Mueang District, Chiang Mai

Living up to the name ‘Rose of the North,’ Chiang Mai organises the Chiang Mai Flower Festival to showcase its beautiful flowers and decorative plants which are in full bloom towards the end of the winter season in early February. Suan Buak Hat Park is transformed into an open-air exhibition centre where you can find a magnificent tapestry of floral splendor that blankets the land, agricultural exhibitions, and floral displays, contests, and sales. Orchid lovers should not miss the opportunity to see a variety of beautiful orchids grown by locals. The festival also features flower-decorated floats that parade around the city showing the vibrant colored flowers as well as dancers in traditional costumes.

Highlight: The floral floats compete to find the most beautiful and creative display, and the best float for cultural preservation receives a trophy from HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Other highlights include plant and flower sales, as well as several kinds of competitions.

   

OX CARTS COMPETITION 2017

Venue : the field by Petchkasem Road heading to South, opposite Chit Chanok snack shop (km. 173), Tha Sen Sub-district, Ban Lat, District, Petchaburi

See the ox cart and water buffalo cart competitions, a barehanded fight with ox, a sugar palm tree climbing competition, a palm sugar chopping competition, a ox racing competition (at night), and the Pummelo fields.

   

WINTER FESTIVAL 2017

Venue : Samphan Charoen Mueang Road, Nawa Khotchasan Road, Mae Hong Son bus station

Watch the parade of hill tribes people and school bands starting from Mae Hong Son Airport on the way to Singhanat Bamrung Road, Khunlumprapas Road to the venue around Samphan Charoen Mueang Road. See the exhibitions and a trade fair from both government and private sectors.


UNDERWATER WEDDING CEREMONY 2017

SIAW FLOWER BLOOMING FESTIVAL

The festival features food stalls selling seafood and local food, light and sound performances, music performances, and other entertainments. There is also a trade fair of OTOP products.

THE RICE EAR CASTLE' FESTIVAL IN BUN KHUN LAN CEREMONY, KALASIN

See the rice ear castle which is a part of Bun Khun Lan Ceremony and making merit by installing the rice ear castle at the temple.

   

DOK FAI BAN MAKHAM WAN MUEANG LOEI RED CROSS FAIR

Venue : Loei City Hall

The festival features parades, a trade fair organized by governmental sector, booths of local and OTOP products, local music performances, Miss Red Cross Fair contest, Thai country song contest etc.

   

TRAT LOCAL SEAFOOD FESTIVAL

Venue : Ko Pu light-house, Ban Laem Hin, Trat

The festival includes the demonstration of local food, fresh seafood, live stage performances, and a trade fair.
